“There are 3 rivers nearby Jakarta which famous for rafting, from Cicatih, Citarik, and Cisadane. For those who likes adventure & adrenaline rush, what if you were dared to jump into a raft and navigate your way through some of the most pumping waves and rapids Cianten River has to offer? Cisadane River has nice view along the river. One of the stream called The “Jeram Naga” or “Dragon Stream”, also offers the flow like dragon, wild and hard. We had to slalom, exactly like how dragon moves. We dared you to come and feel the roar of the Cisadane River beneath your whitewater raft – Photographed by Arienta Gita”

Activity : Pre-Wedding Photo Trip
Location : Thousand Island, Jakarta
Trip : April 2012
“We’ve been arranged pre-wedding photo trip for numerous times, but this is the first time for Arkhipelagos arranging trip that a little deeper than usual and completely different. Selvia is a certified diver and her obsession over underwater pre-wedding photo and scuba diving trip in Indonesia got her fiancee Willy Tjua scrambling for an expert guidance to assist their 2 in 1 request.
Through a friend, they get to know Arkhipelagos. We were having fun during underwater photo shoot session in Jakarta and scuba diving trip in Thousand Island. Of course Selvia enjoyed most being in the spotlight. We can’t get their photo session and scuba diving trip out of our mind as it’s still so fresh. They knew shooting in Indonesia meant a lot more than just shooting. And with Thousand Island’s clear water, sea creatures, beaches and vibrant scene, Thousand Island will become their favourite weekend getaway afterwards. – Photographed by Enriko M Sunanda”
And Then It Happened in Krakatoa
Posted in: Photoblog, Sports & Adventure by admin on April 1, 2013 | No Comments
Activity : Scuba Diving
Location : Krakatoa, West Java
Trip : July 2012
“Mount Krakatoa; known as Gunung Krakatau is a volcanic island in Indonesia, belongs to the Pacific Ring of Fire. The eruption in 1883 is one of the biggest in history, produced unleashing huge tsunamis that killing more than 36,000 people and over two-thirds of the island destroyed. The giant waves from that eruption, rose up to 40 meters managed to reach the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, some 7,000 kilometres away. The explosion considered as the loudest sound ever heard up to 4,800 kilometres from its point of origin. Eruption happened again in 1927 and produced a new island called Anak Krakatau, or Child of Krakatoa. Anak Krakatau’s radius estimated to be 2 kilometres and rises up to a maximum height of 300 meters above sea level.
Beside trekking and climbing, diving in Krakatau also interesting. Krakatau underwater presents the divers with wide range of diving options from deep walls and towering pinnacles formed by past violent volcanic eruptions, to soft and hard coral coastal reefs and isolated coral cays. Schools of Moorish idols and other reef fish inhabit the area, and one occasionally sees reef white tip sharks. How does it sound? – Photographed by Andrew Lioe”
